Parish Pride Days a Great Success !!
Thank you to all who volunteered for the Parish Pride Days on July 18 and 25! Individuals and families (including young children) helped to spruce up the Church and Academy buildings and grounds. Not only did lots of projects get done, but volunteers met new fellow parishioners and felt a sense of accomplishment.
In the Church, cleaning crews tackled the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, Mary’s room, Sanctuary, choir loft, confessional areas and the Sacristy. The Academy helpers moved many desks and tables, and cleaned classrooms, Tabor House basement and the Parish Family Center.
Painting crews touched up several classrooms and painted the entire Extended Care classroom in Tabor House. A fresh coat of paint was applied to lots of doors, radiator covers and stairways to Church/Knights’ Hall. Academy window cleaning, flower bed weeding and athletic field cleanup rounded out the projects.
Over sixty-five people participated over the two weekends, contributing over 250 hour. Several volunteers suggested having a Parish Pride Day several times a year. A good idea for the future!!
